Intensely Modern believes that independently produced music can be just as good as the major label stuff. We want to do our part to support indie artists by exposing their songs on our station. We have to keep our listeners happy too, so we have to consider all music submissions carefully. They HAVE to be rock songs, and they HAVE to be professionally produced.

Getting your music heard by Intensely Modern is easy. The hard part is creating the kind of song we want to play. There is a certain energy, mood and feel to all the music we play, and if you listen to the station for awhile you will hopefully notice it. If your type of music seems compatible with the songs you hear us play, then use the following guidelines to submit your song to us. If you're too biased to judge, ask someone else to listen and decide.

E-mail us one or two songs in MP3 format. The e-mail address is intensify [at] intenselymodern.com. This e-mail address changes every month. Please don't put this address on your mailing list or publish it on your own web site. We just want to hear your best work. If you can't narrow it down to one song, two can be sent. Ideally, try to send us MP3s that are at least 256 kbps bitrate. If we like the song, we can add that file directly. Otherwise we have to ask you to send a better file or a CD.

If you have your songs ripped in other formats (wave, ogg, m4a, etc.) please rip them to MP3s before sending them to us. We audition the songs right from GMail, so if your song isn't in MP3 format, it is a lot of work for us to hear it. Also, don't send us URLs to your MySpace or other web site for us to hear or download your songs. MySpace tends to crash our computer, and we won't know which song you want us to consider.

Are other stations playing your song? Be sure you tell us which ones. We do feel competitive at times and don't want other stations to have cool indie tracks in rotation that we don't know about.

If you don't hear back from us, please wait a few months before submitting more songs.

Intensely Modern is one of the most listened to Alternative stations on Live365, and we get a LOT of submissions. We do listen to all of them, but we don't have time to review them. If your song is good, we will contact you and tell you when we are going to add it.

As far as sending CDs, don't send them unless we are going to play your song. We'll send the mailing address when we contact you.

Are you a label rep? If you want to service us with CDs from your label, contact us for the address. We also subscribe to PlayMPE, DMDS and Promo Only, so you can get us your tracks that way also.
